Optional Practical Training

Optional Practical Training (OPT) is temporary employment authorization for F-1 International Students to gain practical experience in their field of study. It allows Students to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world work setting. OPT can be used before or after graduation, but it must be directly related to your major.
